All hardware must be properly aligned for a smoothly rolling door. In addition, the cable and spring system must be balanced to within 1% of the I.P.P.T. (Inch pounds per turn) designation for the load to be perfectly balanced.
NEVER touch the garage door springs or attempt to work on them. They are very dangerous and under heavy tension, equivalent to the weight of the door.
